Hello guys I hope you are all having a great summer.  I know many
of you have been away on vacation. We are in the hot weather again searching
Attics and basements all over the state.

Our next sale will be held July 29th at the Common-wealth-Venue.
Also we are working on a great estate jewelry sale.

 We are in the last stages of inventory of a fabulous collection soon to be released for sale by the estate attorney appointed to the case.This should be a fun night with lots of Gold and Diamonds. Stay tuned! It's coming!

The reports I got from Brimfield were all good. Lots of Buying
and Selling.
We are gathering for the May 27th Auction.This sale promises to
be a Good one. Lots of Estate merchandise in already and an entire estate
from Franklin coming in Wed.

So let's debate the whole Pawn Stars & American Pickers shows

I think they are both great for our industry. In this tough economic climate
Antiques and Collectibles have been put on the back burner by most of 
America not involved in the Antiques industry. 

These two shows seem to have sparked an interest from "Regular Folks".
People are calling seeking collectibles and remembering there forgotten collections
Also People are calling to cash in and sell off these types of items.

Now, I know some of you will say it will make it impossible to buy because everyone thinks they have a pot of gold. (This was the effect of the antiques Roadshow)
These Recent shows seem more in tune with the real market.
Roadshow offers a much too slender view of only the High end market .

So, the glass is half full in my eyes.
Anything that causes people to care again about the things, I love and Sell.
Is a good thing!

On my recent insurance loss appraisal trip to California I met many families who lost everything in this disaster. Some tips to remember. If you have a video tape inventory of the contents in your home or store,   keep the tape in another location or safe deposit box. These days photographs can be backed up in digital formats with Web storage.   Often times Precious family photos and videos are what people miss most after a disaster.  

Our Hearts go out to the Victims of the California Wild Fires. Please remember these families in your prayers.

To Arrive in Ca in the middle of a burnt disaster certainly changed my life. I count my blessings everday.I was very pleased to be a part of the team that appraised  losses and damaged antiques as a result of this disaster.
